Don’t Miss Places for your Wyoming Road Trip

Green trees and a grassy plain in the foreground, snow-covered mountains in the background, all under a cloudy sky

Wyoming is another great state the Trekkers spend a lot of time in.  The Bighorn National Forest, located in the northeastern part of the state is one of our favorite places to visit. We’ve also enjoyed Yellowstone National Park and the Beartooth Mountains in the northwestern portion of the state.

One of our favorite places in Wyoming is the Bighorns!  From moose and bears to mountain passes that offer panoramic vistas, this lightly-traveled area offers all the fun of the Rockies, without the crowds!

Below are some of the many trails and locales we’ve enjoyed in the Bighorns:

Lake Helen, Bighorn Mountains, Wyoming:  This is a great hike in the Cloud Peak Wilderness area that is accessible for your average hiker

Bighorn Medicine Wheelthis is an incredible, American Indian, archeological site that dates back thousands of years!

Small stones that form the shape of spokes on a wheel sit in a grassy area surrounded by a fence. Tall mountains are in the background, all sit under a clear, blue sky.

A hiking trail meanders through a dry, grassy meadow. Pine trees are in the background with a rocky mountain towering over everything far behind.
